Welcome to "Little Acorns" Childminding - Play, Learn, Grow

Hi, my name is Helen and I am an Ofsted registered childminder. If you are looking for a reliable childminder in North Norfolk (Sheringham, Cromer or Holt area), then you have come to the right place! I believe that every child is unique and your child will be treated like an individual at all times. Children are nurtured here and encouraged to be individual thinkers and learners. They are given space and peace to play and learn and enjoy themselves. My setting is calm and offers a large grassy garden with lots of things to see and explore. Children are encouraged to appreciate nature and become little explorers.

So what are you waiting for? Book a place for your little explorer today.

We have a Facebook page (little acorns childminding) which shows what we get up-to, places we visit and this is updated regularly. Please feel free to have a browse.

Reviews

"I'm really pleased with little acorns, Athea starts to cheer as we get close and is always eager to get off and play with Helen and the toys, visit baby/toddler groups and she always comes home clean and happy. I would recommend to anyone. A well deserved 5 stars from me!!"

"I'd give Helen a 10/10! It was perfect timing when we found her, if I hadn't, I'd have had to close my new business, Helen is flexible and understands that not everyone needs 9-to-5 childcare! My daughter is not yet 2 and extremely attached to me and her dad, not once has she cried being dropped off with Helen, infact, I often have to remind her I'd like a kiss goodbye! That speaks volumes to me about Helens level of care and understanding of my toddlers needs, they spend time at the park, going to toddler groups, baking yummy cakes, painting pictures and loads and loads of time outside in the fresh air, Helens house is fun, safe and full of love, I'm so glad we found her :)"

Outdoors

My house is situated in a rural area with access to woodland. I am about 3 miles from town. My garden offers lots of space to play and the children are encouraged to appreciate nature and get lots of fresh air.

Open-ended play

I think allowing the children to get involved in open ended play is vital for their continued learning. We all know how much fun a child can get from a plain cardboard box – and I will endeavour to make sure they have this kind of thing to play with.

Messy play

The kitchen offers a place to enjoy a meal, do a craft activity, create something from play doh, or make a messy painting. The walls in here are wipe-clean so anything goes.
